I have long-standing and extensive international management experience with globally successful companies including Unilever, Danone and Iglo. In the course of my career, I have held all the marketing-related positions, including European Marketing Manager and Marketing Director. While doing so, I have had the chance to learn the full spectrum of marketing – from developing ideas and products through to developing TV ads – from the best the industry has produced.
My specialities are FMCG food marketing, innovation. health marketing and international marketing.
In 2013 I decided to found my own company, since when I’ve been working internationally as a consultant and trainer. I know from experience what marketeers in management positions need to achieve, where the challenges facing them lie – and how to solve them. With Marketing Matters, I can and will energetically support you in achieving your goals.
I’ve been a member of a number of international innovation teams and working groups during my career. Examples of the projects I’ve been involved in include the international Iglo brand positioning, repositioning Captain Iglo in Continental Europe, and a range of international master brand campaigns. As Marketing Director at Iglo, I was a member of the International Poultry Category Board.
My greatest successes include the launch of Activia yogurt in Austria and Slovenia, permanently establishing the brand in those markets within a short period.
I gained this experience as a European Marketing Manager for 7 different national markets for Iglo in London, with responsibility for the company’s cross-border vegetable innovations and best practice development in those markets. Another valuable international experience was my work as Marketing Director for Danone Slovenia, where I led a brand and agency team with members from 5 different nations.
In the case of products with a special health benefit, doctors, nutritional experts or midwifes have to be included in considerations as well as consumers in order to maximise the chances of those products succeeding. Thanks to the successful work I did for the Activia, Actimel and FruchtZwerge brands at Danone, I know what role important opinion leaders play, and how they can be included to provide you with the support you need to ensure your product has a chance of success.
I have also been able to gain experience in the B2B field during my marketing career, both communicating with health care professionals and in ‘out-of-home’ business at Unilever and Iglo.
